In part two of the Danfoss feature, the Danish refrigeration pioneer is showcasing its improved compressor series NLX-KK.1. Based on the well-proven NLX UFO technology, the new compressors secure less friction and provide increased mechanical efficiency.
In order to keep the product portfolio up-to-date, Danfoss has developed the replacement of the existing NLX-KK range. The new compressors feature increased mechanical efficiency while providing a low energy consumption. Cabinet tests have confirmed that the preceding product range NLX-KK can be replaced one-to-one. The new NLX-KK.1 compressors still use the environmentally friendly refrigerant R600a and offer several advantages:
  • Muffler volume is increased in order to reduce noise (suction pulsation and flow losses are reduced)
  • Motor design has been adjusted
  • Suction connector improved
  • Less place requirement within the machine compartment
Basic specifications NLX-KK.1 (NLX8.8KK.1, NLX10KK.1, NLX11KK.1, NLX13KK.1, NLX15KK.1)
  • Improved suction connector placement
  • One-to-one replacement for NLX-KK
  • Refrigerant: R600a
  • Application: LBP/MBP
  • Evaporating temperature: -35 to -10 °C *
  • Voltage range/frequency: 198 - 254/50 V/Hz *
  • Cooling capacity: 108 - 185 watt *
  • COP: 1.34 - 1.37 W/W *
*EN12900/CECOMAF • 220V/50Hz • static cooling
