Australian national HVAC&R awards: call for nominations

Entries are now open until 26 August for the 2011 Australian national awards organised by the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH). The awards will recognise outstanding achievements in the HVAC&R industry.
The annual awards are open to individuals, companies, corporate bodies, institutions and government authorities, and recognise work carried out during 2010. Entries can be made either by self nomination or nomination by a third party.

Award categories

One award will be given nationally in each of the following categories:
  • Excellence in Innovation Award
  • Future Leader Award
  • Excellence in Sustainability Award
  • Award for excellence - Best sustainable retrofit
  • Student of Year Award
  • James Harrison Medal: The James Harrison Medal is the highest honour AIRAH can can bestow upon an individual and is open to all AIRAH members. Named after Australian refrigeration pioneer James Harrison, it recognises the highest levels of individual achievement in the Australian refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
  • Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC&R
Winners will receive a plaque in recognition of their achievement and coverage in Ecolibrium - the official journal of AIRAH – as well as the HVAC&R Nation magazine.

Awards will be presented on 20 October 2011 at a national awards presentation dinner at The Crown Casino, Melbourne.
